16 August β 4 March
the coastal calendar, shifted 32 days later for this region
Closed forest with deadwood and rock; realistically, a camera trap sees it and you do not.
Kittens stay with the mother until the next breeding season begins β almost a full year β and are pushed out exactly when she comes into oestrus again. The February overlap is why dispersal and courtship share a month here.
